FEAST OF LOVE

Well, It's been so long since the last time I wrote about movies...now I wanna talk about the last movie which successfully have me touched...

FEAST OF LOVE is actually an underrated movie...It was released in 2007 without no big publications... too bad, when actually as a life-lesson drama, it has everything : simple but touching plot, memorable quotes and dialogues, a  less-lecturing but contemplating experience : portrayed by great performance by Greg Kinnear, Radha Mitchell, Morgan Freeman, etc...

It merely tells about several characters who interconnects and finds either hard or failed love stories to get through... then we, as audiences, are left with the big questions about the existence of love and whether we should embrace it with open arms or see it as a test for our happiness...it really really leaves a very haunting question after all : 'Do you think love is a trick or do you think that it's the only meaning there is to this crazy dream...?"

then it added up to the bitterness by throwing a very depressing argument :  That we should be sorry for young couple, whoever they are, who are in love...There's so much they don't know. ..Heartbreak they can't even imagine...

gladly, after all the tragedies that the story brings, we are left with a very simple conclusion but heart-warming ending...then I found it is very wise for the screenwriter to leave it for Morgan Freeman, as the wisest character (as usual) to have a conversation with Greg Kinnear and concludes : "God doesn't hate us. If he did, he wouldn't have made our hearts so brave..."

Yeah, I guess God didn't create our heart just to feel the bitter side of love... He wants us to embrace it, and in the end, no matter how bitter and crazy it feels, we can feast on the manifestations of it... Whatever they are...cuz love is just...love!
